Patrick Reineke '22
Patrick Reineke '22, over the weekend, earned his 3rd HIT Championship. He went 3-0, with 2 pins and 1 technical fall. For his amazing performance over the weekend he also was awarded the "Outstanding Wrestler Award. "Patrick pinned and teched his way through the Hawken meet and received the Outstanding Wrestler Award. This is Reineke’s third HIT championship in as many years and we couldn't prouder of him," remarked Coach Mark Jayne.
This year the Hawks’ season has been abbreviated due to Covid restrictions and cancellations, but that has not stopped Reineke on his quest for a return to the state podium. Currently, Reineke stands at 10-1 and is ranked #4 in the state D-III 113 pound weight class. He has been ranked as high as #3 this season.

What does Hawken Athletics mean to me?: Hawken athletics means family to me, especially the wrestling team, we are small in numbers but we push each other on the mat and get along with each other off the mat. Hawken athletics means hard work, discipline, and friendship.
