COVID-19 Funding

Many members of our community have asked how they can help Hawken during the COVID-19 crisis.  There are two important ways you can support Hawken today and have an immediate impact.

1)     Hawken Fund
Every year, the Hawken Fund is the School’s top fundraising priority. The first way you can support Hawken is by maintaining support of the Hawken Fund and earmarking your gift to support any of these urgent needs:

  • Financial Assistance to aid current families facing hardship
  • Technology to support a robust Hawken education, whether a student is learning in the classroom or at home
  • Ongoing and heightened sanitization and maintenance efforts

During these unprecedented times, the Hawken Fund remains essential and your support provides us with the flexible dollars needed to adjust swiftly should the need arise. Our ability to respond quickly and in ways that are needed most makes your gift vital.

2)     Hawken School's Community Response Fund (formerly referred to as Angel Scholarship Fund)
Amidst the challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, Hawken School remains steadfast in its commitment to our students and faculty. Now, more than ever, it is vital that we safeguard the distinctive attributes and values that make Hawken School such a unique place to learn and grow.

The economic consequences of the pandemic have created a need for financial assistance within our community that we must address to ensure that no student has to forfeit a Hawken education. As such, Hawken launched the Community Response Fund which will support Hawken families who have suffered economically as a result of COVID-19 by providing additional financial assistance.

In addition to financial assistance, the Hawken Community Response Fund will also allow Hawken to provide equitable access to upgraded and expanded technology, ensuring that all of our students, faculty, and staff have the tools they need to stay connected and work successfully and efficiently – whether it’s in-person or in a remote teaching and learning environment. Additionally, this fund will be used to support COVID-19 mitigation expenses that the School is investing in to protect the health and safety of everyone at Hawken.
You can make a difference for this anticipated need by giving here and noting Community  Response Fund in the “Additional Gift Instructions” box.
