Lady Hawks advance to Regional Cross Country Championship, Markovich wins District Title
Ally Markovich ('13) won the District Cross Country Title at Edgewater Park on Saturday in a time of 19:19. Ally led the Hawken Girls Cross Country Team to a third place finish and a Regional Championship Meet birth. The Hawks scoring was completed by Mackenzie Harris ('12) in 16th Place, Jenny Satterfield ('14) in 17th place, Taylor Pearl ('11) in 26th Place, Molly Liebeskind ('12) 39th place, and Yelena Chernysheva ('13) 63rd place.
The Boys Cross Country Team finished 5th in the District Championship. This just put them out of the reach of a regional birth, as the top 4 teams advanced. Ian Mullenhour ('11) led the Hawk's charge with an 18th place finish. Other Hawken finishers were Nick Wood ('14) 26th place, Dan Gens ('11) 30th, Alex Wood ('14) 34th, Seth Shill ('11) 38th, Travis Salvati ('11) 40th and Adam Berry ('13) 45th place.
The Lady Hawks will travel to Boardman High School in Youngstown on Saturday for the Regional Championshp race at 1:20pm.
