Tops again: Hawken ties for first in math contest
A team of Hawken students recently tied for first in the Ohio Council of Teachers of Mathematics annual contest. The competition was among 95 schools throughout the state with over 1,500 students participating. Sophomore Brian Huser, senior Kenan Diab, junior Myron Zhang and sophomore Alec Lai placed in the top twenty of individual scores, which, combined, gave Hawken its winning point tally. Freshman Omar Diab, sophomore Sam Milner and seniors Matt Raskind and Zach Rosskamm joined Hawken`s top four in scoring in the top 15 percent in the state. From here, the students move on to the Ohio Mathematical Invitational Olympiad at Capital University in Columbus on March 31.
