19 Students Present at 4th Annual ISL Symposium

Hawken students who are part of the Integrated Service Learning Program joined together with friends, family, and mentors for the fourth annual ISL Symposium held on Tuesday, October 23.

The evening began in the Great Lawn Loft with a program overview and student introductions, after which students dispersed to their designated areas in Shiverick Commons to present their projects to symposium guests. Students participated in projects involving community activism, inner city tennis coaching, nursing homes, political campaigns, clinics in Africa, teaching in Azerbaijan and Georgia, pollinator diversity, and more.

Many thanks to Coordinator of Experiential Education Cris Harris for organizing and overseeing this event to showcase our students’ efforts and learning.
