    Twenty-three Hawken Lower, Middle, and Upper School students were among 307 students who participated in the 2018 State of Ohio Grade Level Chess Championships.

    Congratulations to Brennen Keuchel ’19, who received the Society for In Vitro Biology Science Fair Award for his project, “Assessing the importance of asymmetrical cell division and neurotrophins in glioblastoma cancer stem cell survivors” at the Northeastern Ohio Science and Engineering Fair held earlier this year in Cleveland.

    Through his summer internship undertaken as part Hawken’s STEMM program, Nikhil Goel ’19 participated on a small team at CWRU working to develop an app interface designed to help tobacco users quit smoking.

    Hawken had a phenomenal showing at the 65th Annual Northeast Ohio Science and Engineering Fair (NEOSEF) held March 12-15 at Cleveland State University.
  • Speech and Debate Team Places 2nd in State Tournament

    Congratulations to the Hawken Speech and Debate Team for being named Runners-Up at the 90th Ohio Speech and Debate Association State Tournment held in Toledo last weekend. This marks the fourth time in the last six season seasons that the Hawks have finished in the top three teams in the state at this event.

    Girls Swimming Captures 20th Consecutive State Title

    As Athletic Director Jim Doyle commented after the girls swim team won the State Championship for the 20th consecutive year on Friday, "It was a meet for the ages tonight, one to add to the incredible legacy of Hawken Swimming. It was a meet where our swimmers saw triumph, heartbreak, agony, and exhilaration."
