Charlie served as senior vice president and chief financial officer of The Lubrizol Corporation from 1998 until he retired in 2011 following the purchase of the company by Berkshire Hathaway. He previously served in various corporate finance positions at Atlantic Richfield Company in Los Angeles, and spent several years in the national banking division of Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company in New York. Charlie currently serves on the Board of Directors of Modine Manufacturing Company and KeyCorp. He and his wife Grosvie reside in Cleveland Heights. They have two Hawken graduates, Claire ’06 and Frances ’09, and one current student, Henry ’14.
