Supporting Your Child’s Natural Development with Patience, Observation, and Love
Join us for a nurturing series of hands-on classes designed to empower parents and caregivers with the tools and knowledge to foster your infant’s growth in a respectful, supportive environment. Based on the principles of RIE (Resources for Infant Educarers), our class encourages you to trust your child’s innate abilities and provides practical guidance on how to respond thoughtfully and mindfully to their needs.
Why Explore a RIE-Inspired Approach?
The RIE philosophy is rooted in the belief that infants are capable, competent, and curious individuals. By embracing a mindful, respectful approach, you can cultivate a deeper connection with your child while supporting their emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.
What You’ll Learn:
- Respectful Observation: Learn how to tune into your child’s cues and respond to their unique needs with trust and empathy.
- Creating a Safe, Stimulating Environment: Discover how to set up spaces where your infant can freely explore, move, and grow.
- Encouraging Independence: Support your baby’s natural curiosity and autonomy while fostering a strong sense of security.
- Emotional Connection: Build a deeper, more attuned relationship with your baby through mindful interactions and positive communication.
- Practical Parenting Tips: Gain insights into managing common challenges like sleep, feeding, and development milestones in a gentle, supportive way.
In a relaxed, safe and thoughtfully prepared environment children will engage in free play, allowing them to explore at their own pace while caregivers practice mindful observation. Join us to connect with other caregivers, share experiences, and deepen your understanding of your child’s developmental journey. Together, we’ll cultivate a supportive community centered around the joy of early childhood exploration!
Children and caregivers will learn in tandem alongside Jenny Eshleman, M.Ed., a Hawken Early Childhood teacher, with a background in child development and trained in the RIE philosophy.
