Spotlight on Radiolab Hawken
Students in the Upper School Radiolab intensive taught by Cris Harris and Chase Williams were introduced to the world of audio storytelling during this 3-week immersion class that concluded just prior to winter break.
After exploring essential questions about both the craft and content of storytelling and honing their interviewing, editing, teamwork, and other related skills, students worked in small groups to create and produce audio segments patterned after the award winning WNYC podcast.
At the conclusion of the course, Harris commented, “We were really proud of the way the kids went out into the community to get material, worked and reworked it, and came together in the editing process. It took a lot of discipline, resilience, and positivity in the face of challenge, and they did a great job.”
