Annual Fund Surpasses Goal

In honor of their 25th Reunion, the Class of 1989 increased their Annual Fund participation percentage from 28% last year to 47% this year. Additionally, their class gift exceeded a bold goal of $25,000 due in part to a matching gift challenge and “blitz” by Tom ’89 & Alissa Murphy. The class gift was earmarked for financial aid resources and a total of $27,469 was raised. Thank you to Tom and Alissa for their generosity, which capped off a sensational year for the Class of 1989.

 

Also bolstered by a matching challenge, and in celebration of their 50th Reunion, was the Class of 1964. New and increased annual gifts over the previous year were matched dollar-for-dollar by classmate Russ Lincoln '64; also, the class created a new 50th Reunion Scholarship Fund. Gifts toward the scholarship were also matched for a total match of $5,000 per classmate. Participation for the class increased from 49% to 58%, and $47,362 was raised for the Annual Fund. An update on the 50th Reunion Scholarship Fund will be provided in the upcoming Annual Report this fall.
