Tournament Honors '72 Graduate
Hawken boys tennis hosted the first annual Richard S. Caraboolad '72 Memorial Tournament at the end of April. Michael Caraboolad ’78 was on hand to speak about his family’s inspiration to establish this tournament in memory of 1972 graduate Richard who passed away in 2011.
Hawken boys tennis hosted the first annual Richard S. Caraboolad '72 Memorial Tournament on April 20 and 21. Representing the Caraboolad family, Richard’s brother, Michael Caraboolad ’78 was on hand to speak about his family’s inspiration to establish this tournament in memory of 1972 Hawken graduate Richard who passed away in 2011.

Hawken placed 1st, University School finished 2nd, and The Kiski School was 3rd. Other participants were Western Reserve Academy, Gilmour Academy, and Lake Ridge Academy.
Vid Yadav '16 was the 2nd Singles Champion, Adam Lee '14 was the 3rd Singles Champion, and Kush Khosla '15 and Devesh Modi '16 were 1st Doubles Champions. Sid Ahuja '14 was 1st Singles Runner-up, and Max Pollock '14 and Marshall Rankin '14 were 2nd Doubles Runners-up.
