Battle of Bands Raises Funds for Nicaragua
The 6th Annual Battle of the Bands Benefit for Seeds of Learning, took place March 1 and raised nearly $5000 toward the purchase school supplies and building materials in Nicaragua.
For the past 12 years, Hawken students have travelled to Nicaragua and El Salvador to help further educational opportunities in the Americas. This June, 18 Hawken students and 3 teachers will travel to Tipitapa, Nicaragua to build a school building and partake in a cultural immersion.
