Green Team Conducts Energy Carnival
Last week, 6th and 8th grade members of the Middle School Green Team club ran an energy carnival for 5th grade students. The carnival consisted of a series of energy-related games and activities to educate children about the science of energy and energy conservation.
Teams of 5th graders were introduced to information about the top 10 renewable and non-renewable sources, along with activities that demonstrated how energy changes into different forms. The highlight of the program was a series of games including Taboo, Pictionary, Jeopardy, and Top 5, among others, that were all based on the energy theme.
Green Team students that helped conduct the program and run the session were 6th graders Ariel Cohen, Sydney Kates, Cooper Hansen and Alex Duvin, along with 8th graders B.J. Horton, Helen Kovac, Nina Schubert, Liza Namy, Ian Burrows, Caleb Marcy, Max Boise, Alex Harris and Jordyn Bauer.
