6th Grade Student`s Bookmark Wins Ohio Energy Project Award
Henry Holmes (current 6th grade student) was recently recognized by the Ohio Energy Project (OEP) for his award winning finish in the OEP Bookmark Contest. This annual event gives students in grades 4 - 12 the opportunity to design bookmarks based on an energy efficiency theme. Henry`s bookmark (see picture to the right) was initially selected as the winning bookmark to be submitted from Hawken`s 6th grade. Following this selection, Henry`s bookmark was then selected as the winning 6th grade statewide submission. A hearty congratulations to Henry and to Mr. Peter Thomas, the faculty advisor of the Hawken Energy Team who oversees this annual event. The Ohio Energy Project, a grantee of the Office of Energy Efficiency (OEE), coordinates the Energy Efficiency Bookmark Contest.
