Hawken Athletes Place at State Track Finals

In the first day of State competition at Ohio State`s Jesse Owens Stadium the Hawken Track Team advanced two events to the State finals to be held on Saturday. In the 4x100m Relay, the team of Hayden Haas, Tyler Nichols, Stewart Roulston and Tyler Kirsch battled a strong field and a strong rain to run 45.27s and finish in 7th place. In the 300m Hurdles, Sophomore Vicki Wilson ran through the driving rain to finish fourth in a time of 47.35s. The weather improved Saturday morning as the OHSAA Division-III Track & Field Finals began. In the 4x100m Relay the Hawks team of Hayden Haas, Tyler Nichols, Stewart Roulston and Tyler Kirsch improved their time to 44.78s and a 5th place finish. In the 300m Hurdles Vicki Wilson got off to a solid start in the State Finals, She finished in 8th place in a time of 47.24s. Congratulations to the Hawks on a great finish to the season!
