Girls Cross Country
Ella Gilson ‘21 wins BACK TO BACK OHSAA DIV 2 State TITLES! Leading up to her state title Ella also won the CVC, where she was awarded CVC MVP, News Herald Runner of the Year, Regional, & District titles. Juliana Metz ’21 placed 10th overall (ALL-OHIO) in the OHSAA Div 2 State Meet and was named on the All-Ohio academic team. She also received 1st team CVC and News Herald honors and she was a Regional medalist. The team had a great year adding a District Runners Up, 1st place at the George Gross Invitational, 3rd place at the CVC Meet.
Football
The Hawks finished the season with 3 wins and 7 Losses. Dominic Johnson ‘23 matched the school record for the longest rushing touchdown of 96 yds. Terrence Robinson ’22 set a school record for most passing completions in a season with 139 completions. Will Lindsey ’20 received 1st Team CVC recognition.
Field Hockey
Heather Arslanian ‘21 helped her team to a 6 win 8 loss 1 tie record this fall. She set a school record for most goals in a game with 6. She also was recognized by the state, for her great season, as 1st team all-region.
Boys Cross Country
David Hamilton ’22 finished 5th place at the VASJ invitational, was a OHSAA Div 2 State regional qualifier and received CVC 2nd team honors.
Girls Golf
Ella Wong ’23 capped off an amazing freshman season by finishing 17th overall at OHSAA Div. 2 State Finals! Her other accomplishments this year include CVC MVP, 2nd Place at Sectionals, 3rd Place at Districts and 2nd place at the Lady Bruin Invitational.
Boys Golf
The Boys Golf team made it back to back trips to the OHSAA Div 2 State Finals, finishing 8th this year. During their journey back to states the team were Districts Runner Up and 10-2 in the regular season. Drew Covitt ’20 was the CVC MVP, 1st Place at Sectionals and won the Badger Invitational. Thomas Wong ’21 won 1st Place at Districts.
Volleyball
The volleyball team finished the season with 11 wins and 12 losses. The team lead by 10 seniors made it to sectionals. Jordan Kutash ’20 earned 1st Team CVC and District Honorable Mention honors.
Girls Tennis
The girls tennis team finished the regular season with a 9-8 record. Doubles, Sammi Fremont ’20 and Elli Faber ’21, won OHSAA 1st Place Sectionals and qualified for Districts. The double pair also received 1st Team CVC honors. Molly Xiao ’21 received 1st Team CVC honors as well as 3rd place at the Hawken Invitational Tournament.
Girls Soccer
The Girls Soccer team finished with 7 wins 8 losses and 3 ties in their regular season and made it to the OHSAA district semifinals. Lindy Bobrow ’21 received 1st team Honors from CVC & GCSSCA. She also was on the News Herald All-Star 2nd Team. Goalkeeper Amalia Blood ’21 received 1st team honors from CVC, GCSSCA Honorable Mention and News Herald All-Star Honor Roll.
Boys Soccer
The boys soccer team had a tough 2 OT OHSAA district semifinal loss to end their amazing season, helmed by first year Coach Vlad Muresan, where they finished 10-6-2. Danny Ecker ’20, ended his Hawken Career with 44 goals. He received GCSSCA 1st team honors as well as CVC 2nd Team and News Herald All-Star 2nd team. Joey Abrams ’20 received 1st team honors from GCSSCA & CVC along with News Herald All- Star 3rd Team. Zach Hart ’21 received 1st team honors from GCSSCA & CVC along with News Herald All- Star 2nd Team. Jackson Goldberg ’22 received 1st Team CVC honors as well as GCSSCA Honorable Mention & News Herald All-Star Honor Roll.
