Lauren Spilman

Lauren and her husband Steve are co-founders and owners of Findaway World in Solon, Ohio a company that has invented and introduced the Playaway, a small player pre-loaded with audio books. In addition Findaway World is a media platform company delivering simple and immediate access to digital content. She developed her considerable event-planning skills as Matrix's director of corporate travel, where she oversaw 300-plus events a year for up to 5,000 people at a time and hired entertainers such as Liza Minelli, Jerry Seinfeld and Jay Leno.

Lauren has been a Class Parent Council representative and is Chair of the Centennial Celebration Committee. Within the broader community, Lauren is a member of the Playhouse Square Board of Trustees, and a member of the Board of Trustees’ Executive Committee at the Cleveland Zoological Society.

Lauren and Steven’s son Max ’21 attends Hawken School and their daughter Alana is a sophomore at Lynn University. They reside in Moreland Hills.
