Student Art "Pops" at Parade
Hawken School's impressive pop-art creations lit up Saturday's Parade the Circle in University Circle.
More than 30 students happily labored to create "The Minions of Marilyn" during a 3-week Intensive course designed to immerse students in hands-on art making and community involvement.
For fourteen years the Upper School has participated in the Cleveland Museum of Art parade. Students met parade artists from around the world, visited the CMA art museum and warehouse, and traveled to the Andy Warhol museum in Pittsburgh.
For the third year in a row, students also worked with the Cleveland Sight Center to assist clients with parade preparations.
