Graduate Elected to National Boards

Michael Weiss '75, a cancer research professsor at CASE, was elected to the board of trustees of two national high school programs.

The Summer Science Program is an intense immersion in physics and astronomy for gifted high school students. The program, started by the National Science Foundation in 1958, boasts a distinguished roster of alumni.

The Presidential Scholars Progam was started in 1965 by President Lyndon B. Johnson and expanded in 1979 by President Carter. The program recognizes and provides leadership development opportunities for outstanding graduating high school seniors.
