Entrepreneurship Workshops Featured on edSurge

Hawken's workshops for educators in entrepreneurial studies are featured in an article on edSurge, an independent education technology website.

"More Than a Lemonade Stand: How 12-year-olds Learn to Launch Lean Startups" details the evolution of Hawken's innovative entrepreneurial studies programs and subsequent workshops for educators.

After success with students at Hawken, Associate Head of School Doris Korda worked with Lean LaunchPad founder Steve Blank who hosted Hawken’s Educators Workshops for Entrepreneurial Studies.

For the past two summers Hawken has conducted workshops in California to teach private and public school educators how to develop their own courses using Hawken’s innovative curriculum and methodologies. This year a workshop in Boston was added.

Why is teaching entrepreneurship important?

"For this generation and those to come, entrepreneurship teaches students the skills they need to solve problems that don't have answers in the back of the book," notes Associate Head of School Doris Korda.

Hawken's entrepreneurial studies workshops for educators are making it possible for educators across the country to build their own programs based on a proven, transformative curriculum.
