Spring Intensives Begin

Spring Intensives have started at the Upper School, which means students will engage in one course for the next three weeks, allowing them to dive deep into their topic of study.

Courses include all subjects in the Hawken curriculum, and will take place on the Gates Mills Campus and Hawken's Gries Center in University Circle. The Intensive format also allows students to travel to other cities and even foreign countries. The Latin 3 Honors class will be traveling to Ann Arbor, while the Spahish 4 Honors class will travel to Chile.

2015 Spring Intensives include the following courses:

Advanced Acting
Parade the Circle Workshop
Professional Writing
Ohio and the American Experience
Middle East History
In Pursuit of Justice
Humanities 9
Humanities 10
Spanish 4 Honors
Latin 3 Honors
Chemistry
Physics

Intensives courses take place in the fall and spring and count for one full semester credit. The cost of the courses, whether on the Gates Mills Campus, at the Gries Center, or taking trips to Cleveland, another state or another country, are built in to Hawken's tuition, ensuring that all students have access to a variety of engaging, hands-on learning experiences.
