Director of Strength and Conditioning
Kris has more than 20 years experience in helping enhance productivity and performance in athletes and teams. After receiving a degree in Exercise Science from John Carroll University and playing varsity football for the Blue Streaks, Kris spent time with the Cleveland Indians Strength Department under Fernando Montes.
As Director of Performance for Force Sports (7 years), Kris founded the department and established top level training in the area, managing two training centers, developing training staff, and working daily with athletes, teams, and clubs.
Previous to Force, Kris owned Sport Performance Institute for 13+ years, establishing himself as a top performance coach in the Cleveland area and beyond. Additionally, as co-founder of AOE (Athletes of Excellence), Kris also directed the performance training and business operations of this high level soccer training group.
Kris has served as a Performance Consultant for numerous pro teams, premier clubs and universities, to include: Cleveland Crunch, Cleveland City Stars, University of Akron, Ashland University, Cleveland State University, Notre Dame College, John Carroll University, Cleveland Soccer Academy, Ohio Flames Hockey, Team Ohio Hockey, Cleveland United Soccer, Ambassadors Football Club, and many of the areas high school varsity programs.
From youth organizations to sport conferences, Kris has presented at various venues, including Akron Children’s Sports Medicine and Ohio High School Softball Association State conference, on specific topics of athlete development. Among hundreds of high school and collegiate athletes (producing numerous state qualifiers/championships, collegiate scholarships, awards), Kris has also provided Performance Training to several professional athletes, to include: Jim Thome, Joe Inglett, John McDonald, Josh Williams (MLS), Brian Rodgers (MMA), Jessica Eye (UFC), Pat Rissmiller, Russ Sinkewich, Amy Kyler, Crystal Bustos, Micaela Minner, Akron Racer players, professional strongmen, and more.
Kris currently lives in Newbury, Ohio with his wife, Lori, and their three children, Trevor (plays hockey at Framingham State), Hope (plays soccer at Univ. of Maryland, and Hannah (Fordham University, Univ. of Maryland).
