Girls Swimming Captures 20th Consecutive State Title

As Athletic Director Jim Doyle commented after the girls swim team won the State Championship for the 20th consecutive year on Friday, "It was a meet for the ages tonight, one to add to the incredible legacy of Hawken Swimming. It was a meet where our swimmers saw triumph, heartbreak, agony, and exhilaration."

The girls dominated the meet from the start, opening with a state record finish in the 200 medley relay. Their 20-year winning streak is unmatched in Ohio high school history in any sport.

The boys team finished as State Runners-up, capping a season with many spectacular races and great accomplishment. It is the third consecutive year with a podium finish. To add to these accolades, Coach Todd Clark was named girls coach of the year.
