Middle School Students Energized to Lead

On October 18th, a group of middle school students known as the “Energy Team” attended a youth leadership summit hosted by the Columbus-based Ohio Energy Project.

The summit, held at The Exploration Gateway in Canton, Ohio, is an opportunity for students to learn how to facilitate hands-on energy activities. Hawken students spent the day working with teams of students from several other schools in Northeast Ohio learning about energy sources and energy transformations through a series of labs and games.

Energy team students will then use the skills they learned help to host and run several workshops throughout the year for students from other schools.
