Russell Lincoln '64 Awarded Hawken Medallion

Congratulations to Russell Lincoln '64, who was honored at last nights' James A. Hawken Society Reception with the presentation of the Hawken Medallion, which recognizes a lifetime of extraordinary service and commitment to the School.
The Hawken Medallion is awarded only in the most exceptional of circumstances. Russ has been instrumental in making Hawken School a better place over the last several decades through his keen insight, candor, generosity and financial acumen. Elected a Life Trustee in honor of his dedicated 24 years of service to the School as a Trustee, Russ has also been honored with the distinction of a Hawken Fellow and as a recipient of the Carl N. Holmes Award.

Russ, along with his wife Connie, is a steadfast benefactor to Hawken School. The Middle School facility on the Lyndhurst campus was dedicated as Lincoln Hall in 2006 to honor their major gift to the project, and Lincoln Wing in Stirn Hall will serve as a reminder of the Lincolns’ tremendous generosity to Hawken's largest capital campaign in its 100-year history. Currently, they are helping to strengthen the endowment through the establishment of the Russ ’64 and Connie Lincoln Challenge for planned giving.

Russ is the second person in Hawken’s history to receive The Hawken Medallion. The late Virginia L. Kennedy, Life Trustee, received this tribute on June 5, 1998.
