Hawken Co-Sponsors Diversity Recruitment Event

Hawken is partnering with Breakthrough Schools, Laurel School, and Warrensville Heights City School District to sponsor the inaugural NEO Diversity in Education Recruitment Event, which will take place on Saturday, February 25 in downtown Cleveland at Key Tower from 8:00a.m. - 6:30 p.m.

The event represents a shared commitment among the sponsor schools to provide high-quality education to all students in the Cleveland and Northeast Ohio area.

These schools are hosting the event in an effort to attract and hire teachers and school leaders who reflect the diverse populations of students and families that our schools serve. Their collective belief in the power and impact that a teacher or leader can have when he or she shares experiences in common with his or her students – experiences related to racial, cultural, gender, economic and/or religious backgrounds or identities – is a key factor in their recruitment efforts.

The event will feature a continental breakfast, meet and greet with candidates, school leader panel, lunch, interviews, and a networking happy hour. Please direct anyone you know who might be interested to www.neodiversityevent.org for more details and registration information.
