Taj Caver '24

Over the past 2 games, Taj Caver '24 ,has averaged double figures in scoring, highlighted by his 16 point effort in a conference game vs. Chagrin Falls.

 
Coach Nugent states, "It has been a joy to coach Taj this year.  We talked a lot early on about the highs and lows that he would experience playing varsity basketball as a freshmen and he has taken everything in stride throughout the season. He has had some big moments as well as some tough moments but he doesn’t let it affect his approach.  What has been most impressive about Taj is his understanding of the game and his willingness to learn.  He is like a sponge.  He wants to be coached and not just by our staff.  He leans on the other guys as well.  I know that Dominic Johnson has worked with Taj throughout the year and senior captains, Cooper Jared and Shin Ng, have also been there to support him.  He is constantly striving to get better and with that approach, he will continue to be successful as an individual and help the team grow. We are looking forward to seeing Taj continue to grow in the coming years.”
