Four Students Receive Multiple Scholastic Art and Writing Awards

Congratulations to Jane Nilson '21, Natalie Knaggs '21, Jasmine Shone '23, and Samantha Werbeck '23 on being recipients of the 2021 Scholastic Arts and Writing Awards.

Jane received one gold key, one silver key, and two honorable mention awards in Poetry for her poems "The Carpenter Room," "Italian Film Stills, c. 1972," "God Keeps Pets," and "Babygay."
Natalie received three honorable mention awards in Poetry for her poems "Parkview Playground," "Waltz," and "March 24th." Jasmine received a gold key award in Short Story for her story "The Hairdresser," a silver key award in Poetry for her poem "Dreaming of Clocks and Rain," an honorable mention award in Poetry for her poem "fairytales and other magic words," an honorable mention award in Flash Fiction for "Gaza Lions," and an honorable mention award in Science Fiction and Fantasy for "Houston Rain." Samantha received a gold key award in Poetry for her poem "Times of Fear."
