Three Hawken Students Named Questbridge Scholars

Congratulations to the three Hawken seniors who have matched with a college that will provide them 100% financial aid in the form of scholarships to cover the full cost of tuition, fees, room and board, books and supplies, and travel expenses for four years of undergraduate study.

Jocelyn Chin has matched with Duke University, Jordan Slaughter with Princeton University, and Jake Wei with The University of Chicago.

Questbridge is a nonprofit college match program for high-achieving students in need of financial aid that partners with 40 of the nation’s top colleges to provide highly qualified students – many of them first generation college students - access to affordable higher education. Hawken’s Director of College Counseling Renee Bischoff couldn’t be more excited for these students. “It’s incredible that all three of our amazing applicants became finalists and matched. We are in awe of their scholarship and the potential they bring to their match schools.”

These three students were among the 1,127 scholarship recipients for 2019 that were selected from a field of over 14,926 applicants. They will join a worldwide network that includes over 16,000 current Questbridge college students and graduates.
