Rising Sophomore Earns USCF National Master Title
At the Akron Chess Club tournament held on May 25, Destynn Keuchel ’22 took clear first place with a perfect score among 19 top players, beating three National Masters and becoming a National Master himself.
The United States Chess Federation (USCF) awards the National Master title to any player who reaches a rating of 2200. Less than one percent of rated players hold the title.
