Students Gains Insight Through Immersive Learning Experiences

Middle School students recently engaged in Insights Week, five days of mixed-grade experiential courses grown out of the academic passions of the Middle School faculty.

Courses focused on a range of topics including fly fishing, the Olympics, food trucks, costume design, stop motion animation, interior design, forensic science, hit songs, comedic acting, and more. The one common element? Hands-on, experiential learning.

From a behind the scenes tour of the Hamann-Todd collection of skeletal remains at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History to exploring how waves of immigration into our city has helped to develop Cleveland’s diverse culinary scene to workshops with professional actors, some students explored existing passions while others discovered new ones.
