SAT I/SAT II
The Scholastic Assessment Test I is a standardized college entrance exam which tests the math and reading skills of the student. It is given several times throughout the year at nearby schools and can be taken more than once.

The SAT II Tests are single subject tests and are given at the same time as the SAT I. Each SAT II Test is an hour long, and up to three may be taken in one day. SAT II Tests should be taken as soon as possible after the student completes the study of a single subject, like physics or US History, but as late as possible for subjects that are cumulative in nature, like literature or math. Students are advised individually of their need to take SAT II tests.

Advanced Placement Tests are given at the conclusion of AP courses and are mandatory. They are administered the weeks of May 5 and May 12th, 2008, at Hawken. The fee for each exam is $82, and registration will begin in March 2008.
