THE NATIONAL YOUTH LEADERSHIP FORUM ON MEDICINE is looking for sophomores and juniors to participate in this summer's 10-day program to spend time with medical professionals, state-of-the-art equipment and cutting-edge research to see if medicine is the right field for them. You must have a B+ average and have a strong interest in medicine. Come to the College Office if you are interested.
The CLEVELAND CLINIC will hold a Nurses of the Future Program for high school students from June 11 through August 10. Purpose of the program is to inspire students to further their interest in nursing, research and science literacy. Students will be paid $7.75 per hour. Criteria: Must be 16 years old, have a 3.5 or better GPA, and no more than 5 absences or tardies in the previous semester. Apply by February 16 at www.clevelandclinic.org/CivicEducation.
Oberlin College will host a CHINA RISING SYMPOSIUM on March 9-10 at the college. The many speakers will aim to promote understanding of the contemporary Chinese society, culture and economy. It is free and open to all, but you must register at http://www.oberlin.edu/eas/china_rising.html.
A JESUIT COLLEGE NIGHT will be hosted by John Carroll University on Tuesday, February 27th at the Cleveland Airport Marriott at 7:00 PM. An SAT WORKSHOP will be held at the Orange Branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library on Thursdays (Feb 1, 8, 15, 22) from 6:15 - 8:45 PM or Saturdays (3, 10, 17, 24) from 9:15 - 11:45 AM. Learn time management and test strategies for only $40 a session. Register in person at the Teen desk beginning Monday, Dec 11.

UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI.....The Dual Admissions Program Informational Fair will be held on Saturday, October 21 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the Kresge Auditorium at the university. Please RSVP by Friday, October 6 to www.med.uc.edu/hs2md. This dual program guarantees high school seniors a place in their medical school class. Miami University and the University of Dayton will also be represented.

13TH ANNUAL CLEVELAND NORTHEAST SUBURBAN COLLEGE FAIR.....will be held at John Carroll University on Thursday, October 12 from 7:00 - 8:30 PM at the university. Over 140 colleges and universities will be represented. The preferred entrance is at the corner of S. Belvoir and Washington.
PURDUE UNIVERSITY WOMEN IN ENGINEERING DISCOVERY DAY.....This one-day program for seniors only will be held on Monday, October 2 on the West Lafayette campus. Participants will gain exposure to various areas of engineering and learn about the campus. If you take a completed application including transcript and test results, they will make every effort to provide you with a decision before you leave. Please register at www.purdue.edu/WIEP.
TUFTS UNIVERSITY.....will present an evening information program on Monday, October 2 from 7:00 - 8:30 PM in the White House.
MILITARY ACADEMY INFORMATION DAY.....Congressman Steven C. LaTourette will sponser this information day on Saturday, Sept 23 at 9:30 AM at Auburn Career Center, 8140 Auburn Rd in Concord Township. COLLEGE FAIR FOR THE ARTS.....This fair sponsored by the Visual and Performing Arts Booster Club at Solon High School will take place on Tuesday, September 19 from 6:00 - 8:00PM. Any students interested in the arts should find the time to go.
