Hawken School's White House Antique Show is held every Memorial Day to benefit the historic White House at Hawken School's Gates Mills campus. This year the school will hosts its 24th annual show on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, 2009, at the Upper School Campus, 12465 County Line Road in Chesterland, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a Preview Breakfast starting at 8:30 a.m.

The White House Antiques Show features well-respected dealers representing many states who offer a wide variety of art, furniture, jewelry, linens, etc. from all over the world. The show will be held in the school's beautiful new field house, and there will be gourmet coffee and delicious food items available all day.

The White House was once the family home of Walter C. White and is included in the National Register of Historic Places. The former Circle W. Farm was built in 1923 by Walter White, president of White Motor Company. The 23-room White House and the 325-acre property once comprised one of the most extensive dairy farms in Ohio. The White House currently serves as a study, dining, and office facility and is available to local community groups for tours, wedding receptions and other gatherings.
