Summer Theater Institute
The Summer Theater Institute is a collaborative program offered
by Hawken School and the Great
Lakes Theater Festival. This all-day, four-week program
is designed for boys and girls, ages 12 through 18, with all
levels of experience and ability. The Summer Theater Institute
affords students the opportunity to learn from professional
theater artists, providing individual attention on a daily
basis.
Participants gain experience in the following creative expressions:
- classical and contemporary acting
- dance
- movement
- set and prop creation
- voice
The Summer Theater Institute allows participants to work alongside professional actors and artists. The
program will culminate in a 90-minute performance involving all enrolled students.
The Summer Theater Institute is scheduled for June 18 - July
13, 2007.
