Camp participants meet at the Lyndhurst campus where transportation is provided to the Gates Mills campus.

Transportation is available to and from the sports camps. Vans and buses pick up participants at their homes before camp commences at 9:00 a.m., and return them after camp closes at 4:00 p.m. Camp participants may meet at the Lyndhurst campus, where transportation is provided to the Gates Mills campus. For those who require it, precare is available starting at 7:45 a.m.; after camp care is provided from 4:00 to 6:00. For lunch, camp participants enjoy a nutritious family-style meal at the Hawken dining facility.

This year's sports camps are scheduled for June 15-July 24, 2009. Campers may enroll for two, four, or six weeks. For more information, call 440-423-2940. Questions may also be directed to daycamp@hawken.edu.

Boys' Sports Camp
The boys' sports camp is a unique experience that is divided into two-week sessions with major emphasis being placed on one sport per session. Boys may choose from seven sports, on which they concentrate during mornings: baseball, basketball, touch football, wrestling, soccer, and tennis. In the afternoons, boys participate on intramural teams and other activities such as bowling, lacrosse, floor hockey, softball, swimming, and volleyball. The campers will also go on exciting outdoor adventures.

Girls' Sports Camp
The girls' sports camp is diversified with a combination of field trips and sports. Mornings are dedicated to athletics, including basketball, bowling, floor hockey, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, and volleyball. In addition, camp participants will express their creativity in a variety of afternoon arts and crafts. Exciting canoe trips, biking in the Metroparks and field trips to Pioneer Waterland and Swings ‘n’ Things add to the fun-filled sports camp experience.
