Summer Chess Camp
Do you want to learn advanced chess strategies -- or even learn what it means to have your opponent in checkmate?
If so, you are ready for the annual Cleveland Summer Chess Camp, offered in conjunction by Hawken and USA Chess, Inc.
Located at Hawken's Gates Mills campus, this coeducational camp is geared towards ages five through sixteen and chess players of
all levels -- even beginners! All camp participants receive a T-shirt, chess board and pieces, chess scorebook, trophy,
certificate of achievement with camp photo and work folder.
The chess camp is taught by nationally renowned children's chess coach National Master Noureddine Ziane and a team of
North America's best children's chess instructors.
In August, participants have the choice of three attendance
options:
- Morning sessions (9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.)
- Afternoon sessions (1:30 - 4:30 p.m.)
- All-day sessions (9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.)
The cost of the camp depends upon the participant's attendance option and timeliness of registration.
- Morning sessions only: $234 by June 23; $254 after June 23
- Afternoon sessions only: $234 by June 23; $254 after
June 23
- All-day sessions: $374 by June 23; $394 after June 23
