Connor Keuchel Interview at Cleveland Scholastic Open Airs on TV20

Senior Connor Keuchel was interviewed at last month’s fifth annual Cleveland Scholastic Open held at Cleveland State University, where he received the “2016 Cleveland Scholastic Chess Award” for his outstanding merit in academics, chess, and citizenship. Listen to the interview here.


Also participating in that competition were Hawken Lower, Middle, and Upper School chess players Nicholas Bislich ’19, Samuel Cohen ’24, Austin Daly ’22, Nikhil Goel ’19, Brennen Keuchel ’19, Destynn Keuchel ’22, Samia Menon ’19, Hansen Song ’22, and Ishan Vyas ’22. In the 5-8 grade rated section, Destynn Keuchel placed second among 45 participants. In the 9-12 grade rated section, Brennen Keuchel placed first among 29 players and was awarded a scholarship.
