Another Year of Record Enrollment
Today, Hawken School welcomed a record-breaking 1045 students to the 2016-2017 school year – 850 returning students and 195 new students.
Hawken’s innovative programming and excellence in teaching combined with the recent opening of Stirn Hall at the Gates Mills campus and upgraded facilities at the Lyndhurst campus clearly play a role in drawing families to Hawken. Increasingly, both parents and students seem to be seeking the kind of active engagement and preparation that Hawken offers because they are aware of the kinds of skills students need for success in college and beyond.
This is the sixth consecutive year that we have seen an increase in enrollment, a reflection of our community’s confidence in Hawken’s innovative approach to education. We are proud that as enrollment has increased in recent years, we have maintained our low student-faculty ratio to enable the individualized attention and interaction required to ensure each student’s success.
