Upper School Awards Day Held June 5th

Hawken Upper School took time to celebrate the hard work and dedication of its students at Awards Day on Friday, June 5th.

The annual event recognized accomplishments in academics, athletics, arts, leadership and extracurricular activities.

The event culminated with Matt Pitera receiving the prestigious Charles B. Bolton Award. The Bolton Award, first given in 1977, is among the most highly anticipated honors a senior can receive and is bestowed upon a Hawken student who excels in all aspects of education. In so doing, the recipient has truly lived up to the Hawken motto: "That each generation introduce its successor to a higher plane of life." Presenting the award was Lisa Bercu Levine '85, President of the Alumni Association.
