Hawken Hosts Guests from Japan
Ten Hawken families hosted 11 guests from Japan during spring break, making it the 27th exchange with the small community of Haibara.
The group of 9 students and 2 chaperones spent their first full day in Cleveland by having lunch at the Gries Center then visiting the Cleveland Museum of Art.
Other outings during their visit included places such as the West Side Market, a Cavaliers game, The Cleveland Aquarium, the Cleveland International Film Festival and the Cleveland Botanical Garden.
The visitors from Japan toured the Lyndhurst and Gates Mills campuses on Monday, March 30, before heading home with memories and plans of hosting Hawken students in March of 2016.
