Anonymous Donor Funds $1 Million Parent Challenge

When parents and grandparents make a pledge during the 100-Hour Parent Challenge, their support will be doubled in value through the Smith Foundation match and tripled by this loyal and incredibly generous donor. Pledges made during the 100-Hour Challenge may be paid over 5 years.

 

Watch this video to learn more and attend an information session on March 4 or 5 at 6:15 p.m. at the Upper School. Held prior to the Middle School and Upper School Combined Music programs, attendees will be able to see models and renderings of Stirn Hall, take tours of the Gates Mills building, and ask questions of Head of School D. Scott Looney, Director of Facilities Tony Wanner, and others.

 

March 9-13 during the 100-Hour Parent Challenge, pledges can be made online at hawken.edu/100hours; by contacting Kathleen Z. Guzzi at (440) 423-2918 or (440) 423-2965; or by turning in a pledge on Thursday, March 12 at “Pledge Drop Off Day” as parents drop their children off at school.

The School is grateful to the parents, grandparents, and alumni donors who have already stepped up to support Stirn Hall. To date, 7% of the Hawken parent community has contributed over $4 million, which will provide students with learning spaces to support the innovative, individualized learning that is the hallmark of a Hawken education.
