School Spirit Shines at Centennial Kick Off Weekend

Hawken School kicked off a year of centennial celebrations with a weekend of spirited festivities, October 10-11.
 
Events included an all-school centennial photo Friday morning where students, faculty and staff formed a giant "100" on the Gates Mills lawn.
 
An all-community pep rally, alumni tailgate party, and HawkFest 100 Picnic were held Friday afternoon prior to a football game capped by fireworks.  
 
Saturday's events included the Fall Family Fair and homecoming dance at Lyndhurst. At Gates Mills, Hawken dedicated the Holtrey Swimming Hall and inducted the first class of honorees into the Hawken Athletic Hall of Fame.
 
Hawken alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff and friends helped make the celebratory weekend a memorable one, as shown in this video.

Centennial commemorations will continue throughout the year, and be sure to save the date for the grand Centennial Celebration Weekend, May 15-17, 2015, which will include the Party of the Century at the Cleveland Convention Center on May 16.
