Ready to roll out the "green" carpet

Several rolls of artificial turf are ready to be installed on the multi-purpose field, also shown. The project to install artificial turf on a new multi-purpose field and in the current stadium began in June. Both the multipurpose and the stadium field will be ready for the fall athletic season. Th stadium, which is being dedicated to Coach Cliff Walton and his 30 years of commitment to Hawken School, will have its grand opening on August 31, when the Hawks will play host to Lutheran West's always tough football squad. The game will be preceded by a school-wide tailgate party with food and fun for children of all ages.
