Track Team Places in CVC Metro Meet
05/12/2007 -
The Track teams competed in the CVC Metro Division Championship Meet this past week. The Hawken Mens team finished 1.5 points behind Cuyahoga Hts in team scoring. The Hawks were paced by first place finishes by Davis Filippell(Jr)-1600m and 3200m, Tyler Nichols(So)-110m Hurdles, Stephen Johnson(Sr)-Discus, 4x100m Relay-Jake McKay(So),Tyler Nichols(So),Jake Willen(Fr),Oge Anoliefo(Jr). Second Place finishes were turned in by; Davis Filippell-800m, Tyler Nichols-Long Jump, 4x200m Relay-Jake McKay,Tyler Nichols,Jake Willen,Oge Anoliefo.
The Hawken Womens team finished third behind Beachwood and Independence. Individual Championships were won by; Louise Gliga(Jr)-1600m and 3200m, Vicki Wilson(Jr)-300m Hurdles, Colleen Barnes(Sr)-High Jump. The following Hawks finished in second place; Melissa Petersilge(Jr)-800m, Vick Wilson-100m Hurdles, 4x800m Relay-Edith Anderson(Fr), Melissa Petersilge, Louise Gliga, Peggy Seabright(Sr), 4x400m Relay-Vicki Wilson, Peggy Seabright, Melissa Petersilge, Edith Anderson.
Congratulations to the Hawks & Good Luck at the District Meet on May 16 & 18 at Independence High School.
