Every Student Benefits...Every Sport Benefits

Every student will benefit from the new facilities. In addition to our high school students, the new facility will also accommodate games and tournaments in which our Middle School students compete.

Imagine the Alumni Football Game being played under the lights of Walton Stadium...Or the soccer tournament that every August brings graduates back to the campus to take on our varsity squad.

In addition to the Hawken community, the facility will be made available to area youth teams seeking a venue for games and tournaments — an ideal way to show off Hawken's already impressive campus to prospective students and their parents.

And it's not just athletes who will benefit by the facility. Building spirit is one of our top priorities, and athletic events are a great place to see friends and family, enjoy each others company, and root for the Red and Gray. A football, field hockey or soccer game could be preceded with a cookout followed by a bonfire or movie in the gym.

There are a wide range of activities and uses for the new multi-sport field complex: The stadium is not just a gift to the Hawken football program. Walton Stadium will feature day and night games of every field sport at Hawken Upper School. One fall weekend might feature soccer; the next, field hockey. All field sports, with the exception of baseball and softball, will use Walton Stadium.

Meanwhile, the multi-sport complex will accommodate all sports including baseball and softball. Using artificial grass, the yet-named new field — like Walton Stadium — will be weather resistant, allowing longer seasons and earlier practice play in the spring.
