Transportation
Hawken transports approximately 25 percent of our students each year. Our
transportation program meets all state requirements and inspections regarding the
approval of bus drivers, standards for buses, and safe speeds.
Hawken offers three choices of transportation services for its students:
1. Campus-to-Campus Shuttle Service
Campus-to-campus shuttles are commonly used by families who live or work near the
Gates Mills or Lyndhurst campuses.
2. Central Point Bus Service
Bus stops are limited, where possible, so that students from several homes can meet
safely at a central location for group pickup. Locations are determined annually based
on parent application, shelter, and telephone accessibility.
3. Door-to-Door Service
Students are picked up and dropped off at their homes or at individual pick-up/drop-off
points determined on the basis of parent application.

Public School Transportation
A number of schools provide free public school transportation to the Lyndhurst Campus
